Last evening we went to the allotment to find that work had begun on the parking area which is being tarmaced by the look of it.

I’m afraid it was still too cold even in the lean to. My beautiful cucumber plant was looking decidedly poorly when we popped to the plot this evening. The first butternut squash was holding its own so we planted another one further along in the same bed.

Well the seedlings certainly had a good watering in the early hours of today. The rain was very heavy and temperatures as the morning has progressed are getting better.
